The first time I tried a quiche′ was at a party were they organised different kinds of finger foods for people to try.I had no idea what in the world i had eaten but all i remember is it was one DELICIOUS treat i will never forget!
Fast forward to when I finally got my eyes on a recipe to try… Walaaaah! 🙂
I rolled out a pastry dough I had refrigerated for 2 days (not that its necessary to keep it cold for that long) But the dough needs atlist some 30mins to chill.
It’s extremely important to place the dough in the tin without any cracks and holes on the sides or base ( If there are, be sure to fill them up) with the remains of the dough you would have cut off.
For the filling : 1. Cut up Spinach and steam it, On the side fry 2 medium onions until transparent in a pan then add the spinach, season with thyme, salt and black pepper. Remove from heat after a few stirs. 2. Whisk 3/4 cup fresh milk with 3 eggs in an bowl and grate cheddar cheese in. 3. Place the spinach mixture in the tart after How to blind bake baking the crust and lastly pour the egg mixture in the spinach and sprinkle etxra cheese on top. 4. Bake for 40 to 45 mins until cooked on top.
